Assisting My Neighbour Was Hard Work

My door was knocked on one Saturday morning. It was Mr. Patel, my neighbour. He’s kind, older, and always smiling.
He said, “Can you help me move some boxes?”
I wanted to refuse. I was going to do nothing.I did, however, say yes. And my day was transformed.

Lifting Boxes, Lifting Spirits

The boxes weighed a lot. My arms ached. We did, however, laugh a lot. We discussed his mango tree, cricket, and vintage films.
After that, he shared some spicy and sweet snacks. Despite being sweaty, I was joyful. It was pleasant. Not just good for the body. wholesome.

I Didn’t Get Paid — But I Got More

I have no money. Not one gold star. However, Mr. Patel’s “thank you” was not the only thing.
He remarked, “You remind me of my son.”I was deeply affected by that. I smiled all the way home.

Small Help Is Big Help

There’s no big reason not to help.A large audience or a stage are not necessary.
Real work can be quiet at times. It’s showing up, sharing food, and picking up boxes.

One Last Thing

Say “yes” the next time someone asks for assistance. You may lift more than just a box.You could brighten someone’s entire day.
And believe me, that type of work is important.
