Do You Trust Yourself?

I once stood in front of the fridge for five minutes.
 Why?
Because I didn’t trust myself to remember what I needed.

That’s when I realized something:
I trust other people more than I trust me.

What Is Self-Trust?

Self-trust means believing in yourself.
It means knowing you’ll do your best,
 Even if things get hard.

It’s that quiet voice inside that says,
 “You’ve got this.”
Not the loud one that screams,
 “You’re gonna mess this up!”

Why We Lose It

Sometimes, we make mistakes.
 We forget something.
 We choose badly.
 And then… we doubt ourselves.

The brain says,
 “Remember when you failed?”
Even if we’ve done great things too.
The brain doesn’t always play fair.

Signs You Don’t Trust Yourself

  • You ask ten people before making a choice.

  • You change your mind… a lot.

  • You fear people will judge you.

  • You don’t say what you really think.

  • You feel nervous about simple decisions — like pizza toppings.

Yep. That was me.

How I Started Trusting Myself

First, I stopped trying to be perfect.
 Mistakes don’t mean I’m broken.
 They mean I’m learning.

Second, I listened to myself more.
If my gut said, “Don’t do it,”
I tried not to ignore it.

Third, I kept promises to myself.
 Small ones.
Like going for a walk when I said I would.
Or drinking water instead of soda (okay, sometimes).

Final Thought

Trusting yourself takes time.
But it starts with one small step:
 Believing you’re doing your best.

And if you’re not sure what to do,
Ask yourself — not the internet.

Unless you’re looking for memes.
 Then, sure… go ahead.
