From a Tiny Dream to a Whole Life
When I was younger, I never thought of myself as a movie star or a billionaire. My dream was simple. I wanted my own desk. Yes, a desk with drawers, space for me, and maybe a lamp.
Doesn’t it sound insignificant?
But something much bigger was born out of that one little dream.
Small Dreams Are Not Silly
“Dream big!” is a popular saying. Yes, that’s wonderful. But modest goals are just as important. They look like little seeds. Despite their diminutive appearance, they have the potential to develop into something truly remarkable.
My desk dream taught me how to want things. How to get it. I saved money, asked questions, and examined store desks. I even drew pictures of my dream desk.
Small Dreams Teach Big Lessons
When I finally got the desk, I was happy. I took care of it. I started writing stories there. I continued to dream, plan, and draw.
That one small thing gave me space to grow. It taught me that no matter how big or small, dreams are important.
One Step at a Time
It took me some time to go from working a desk job to running my own business. However, each small dream accumulated. A desk first. Writing comes next. The next step is to share that writing. People began reading it after a while.
My little dream gradually contributed to the construction of a complete life.
Don’t Laugh at Small Dreams
Go for it if you’ve always wanted a garden, a bookshelf, or a quiet morning. In that dream, you may arrive at a unique location. You never know.
Big dreams are noisy, let’s face it. But only dreams? They whisper. The whisper can sometimes make all the difference.
Therefore, don’t be shy the next time someone asks about your dreams. Talk about your dream aloud, please.
