The Silent Struggles People Hide

Hello, I’m exactly like you.I look happy in pictures.Even though I’m not, I say “I’m fine.”And you know what? The majority of people follow suit.
Everybody wears a mask. Not the superhero type. But the kind that conceals our suffering.

Not All Pain Is Loud

Some people shed tears.Others become silent.
Some people laugh too much to hide their pain.Others avoid feeling anything by keeping themselves occupied.
Pain doesn’t always cry out.It whispers sometimes. And that’s what makes it simple to overlook.

What Struggles Are We Talking About?

I’ll give you some examples:

Jokes can make a child feel lonely at home.

A high-achieving student may be afraid of failing.

A friend who is constantly lending a hand to others might also require assistance.

Why Do People Hide Their Pain?

There are numerous explanations.
Some people experience embarrassment.”People will laugh at me if I tell,” they believe.
Some people believe that nobody will comprehend. Some people simply don’t want to cause trouble.
Some were taught to be strong as children. Don’t cry. They thus keep their emotions hidden, even from themselves.

But Here’s the Truth

Everybody has difficulties. It’s a characteristic of humanity.Everyone, including you, me, and the neighbour.
Nobody’s life is flawless.despite what their Instagram may indicate.

What Can We Do About It?

Let’s keep things easy.
1. Show kindnessThat “fine”-looking classmate? They might not be.Say something kind. Grin. Find out how they are.
2. Pay Attention Without Making Any JudgementsSometimes all someone wants is to be heard.not make them better. Simply listen to them.
3. Express Your Emotions As WellOthers feel comfortable

My Own Silent Struggle

Alright, let’s have some serious conversation.I feel inadequate at times.even if I give it my all.
I grin. I speak. I work hard.In my heart, though, I’m exhausted.
What helped, you know?Notifying someone. At first, it was frightening, but also liberating.

Final Words (And a Tiny Joke)

Not everything in life is sunshine and ice cream. At times, it’s more like rain and soggy fries.
However, we can support one another even on difficult days. Not with large objects.Just little gestures of kindness.A nice word. A sympathetic ear. A “me too.”
So perhaps ask again the next time someone says, “I’m fine.”Perhaps all they need is that one person who really notices them.
And, hey, you’re a hero if that person is you.
